LynxTrac Remote provides secure remote desktop, browser access, SSH, terminal, and file
transfer for individuals and small teams, without the complete RMM feature set.
Endpoints are pooled across your whole organisation
Each technician licence adds endpoints to your organisation's shared endpoint pool. You are
not locked into a per-person split, so you can distribute capacity however your customers,
sites, and internal fleet need it.
For example, three Team licences provide 300 shared endpoints that can be spread across
any mix of customers and machines. Add or remove a licence and the pool grows or shrinks
by that tier's allowance.
Three Team licences
300 shared endpoints
Customer A 120 endpoints
Customer B 80 endpoints
Internal infrastructure 50 endpoints
Remaining available capacity 50 endpoints
Total shared pool300 endpoints
Why per-technician?
The pricing model, in 3 questions
Why charge per technician instead of per endpoint?
Modern MSPs and IT teams grow revenue by adding endpoints, not by hiring more technicians. Per-tech pricing rewards efficiency, the more endpoints each tech manages, the lower your effective per-endpoint cost.
What happens if I exceed my endpoint quota?
You're automatically billed the overage rate, $1.50, $1.20, or $0.90 per endpoint per month depending on tier. No hard limits, no session cut-offs. You can always upgrade tiers to lower your effective overage rate.
What if I have hundreds of endpoints but just one or two technicians?
A single Business technician licence covers 150 pooled endpoints, then $0.90 per endpoint above that, so one tech can run a dense fleet without a bigger seat count. Past roughly 2,500 endpoints, Enterprise volume pricing with custom allocations usually works out cheaper; contact Sales at that scale.

For MSPs
Built for MSPs from day one
Multi-tenant customer hierarchy, white-label branding, and unlimited customer counts come
standard on Business, no add-ons, no upsells. Run your entire book of business from one
console.
Is LynxTrac priced per technician or per endpoint?
Per technician. Each technician licence includes a shared pool of endpoints (25 on Solo, 100 per technician on Team, 150 per technician on Business), so your effective per-endpoint cost drops as each technician manages more machines.
What is a pooled endpoint allowance?
Endpoint allowances are pooled across your whole organisation, not assigned to individual technicians. Three Team licences, for example, provide 300 shared endpoints that you can distribute across any mix of customers, sites, and internal infrastructure.
Does the Team plan require three technicians?
No. There is no three-technician minimum. Team starts at a single technician (100 pooled endpoints), and each additional technician adds another 100 endpoints to your shared pool.
Can a one-person MSP subscribe to Team?
Yes. A single technician can subscribe to Team at $129 per technician per month (billed annually) and receive 100 pooled endpoints. Add technicians whenever you grow.
What counts as an endpoint?
An endpoint is any machine running the LynxTrac agent, server, workstation, virtual machine, or container host. Cloud accounts (AWS, Azure, GCP) are not counted against your endpoint pool; they're metered separately.
What's a technician seat?
A technician seat is a named operator on your LynxTrac console, the person who monitors, patches, and remotes into endpoints. End-users on managed endpoints are not technicians; they don't consume a seat.
What is the difference between monthly and annual billing?
Monthly billing is charged each month at the monthly rate. Annual billing is charged once for the year at a lower effective monthly rate, roughly a 20% saving. The plan and features are identical either way.
Can I mix monthly and annual billing?
Each technician seat is billed at one cadence. You pick monthly or annual at signup and can change it at renewal.
How much do I save with annual billing?
About 20% versus paying monthly. For example, Team is $161 per technician per month on monthly billing, or an effective $129 per technician per month ($1,548 per year) on annual billing.
When am I charged for an annual subscription?
Annual subscriptions are billed once upfront for the twelve-month term, then renew annually on the same date unless you cancel.
Can I switch from monthly to annual billing?
Yes. You can move to annual billing at your next renewal to lock in the annual discount. To switch mid-term, contact support and we will arrange the change.
What happens if I add technicians during an annual subscription?
You can add technicians at any time. New technician licences are prorated for the remainder of your current term, and each one adds its tier allowance to your shared endpoint pool immediately.
What happens when I exceed my included endpoints?
You're automatically billed the overage rate for endpoints above your pool, $1.50 (Solo), $1.20 (Team), or $0.90 (Business) per endpoint per month. No hard limits and no session cut-offs; moving up a tier lowers your effective overage rate.
Can endpoint allowances be shared across customers and sites?
Yes. The pool is organisation-wide, so you can allocate it freely across customers, sites, and your own infrastructure, and rebalance as those needs change.
Can I add technicians at any time?
Yes. Add or remove technician licences whenever you need to; your shared endpoint pool grows or shrinks by that tier allowance with each change.
What is included in the Free plan?
Free Forever covers 2 servers with 1 technician, core monitoring, browser-based remote desktop (14-day trial), 1 cloud account for AWS, Azure, or GCP inventory, and community support. New accounts also get a 14-day trial of Team features.
Does the Free plan require a credit card?
No. Free Forever needs no credit card, at signup or at any point afterwards.
What happens after the Team trial on the Free plan ends?
Your account downgrades to Free Forever, 2 servers, 1 technician, core monitoring, with no action required. Upgrade to a paid plan at any time to keep the Team-tier features you were trying.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
Yes. New accounts run at full Team tier for 14 days so you can try every paid feature. No credit card is required to start.
Can I change plans, or cancel, at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges; downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active through the end of the paid period.
Are taxes included?
Displayed prices exclude applicable taxes. Any sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated at checkout based on your billing location.
Is migration assistance available?
Yes. Reach out and we will help you move from your current tool; Enterprise plans include guided onboarding with a dedicated success manager.
What is the difference between LynxTrac and LynxTrac Remote?
LynxTrac is the full RMM and IT operations platform: monitoring, remote access, patching, automation, logs, security, and MSP operations. LynxTrac Remote (lynxremote.com) is our sister product for secure remote access only, remote desktop, browser access, SSH, terminal, and file transfer, for individuals and small teams that do not need the complete RMM feature set.
Is custom Enterprise pricing available, with volume pricing?
Yes. Enterprise pricing is custom, with volume discounting built into the quote, along with custom endpoint allocations, dedicated infrastructure, and custom SLAs. Contact sales for a tailored quote.
Do you offer on-premise deployment?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. We provide a deploy-on-prem.sh script and Docker Compose configuration for air-gapped or sovereignty-bound environments, with support for distributed or monolithic deployments and Kubernetes HPA scaling.
What's your refund policy?
See our Refund Policy for full details. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase with minimal usage.
Is the platform SOC 2 compliant? What about HIPAA, PCI, and CIS?
LynxTrac's cloud governance module scans your cloud workloads daily against SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and CIS controls. LynxTrac-the-platform is not currently SOC 2 certified; certification is on the roadmap.
Do you offer a partner or reseller program?
An MSP Partner Program is planned. In the meantime, talk to sales about multi-customer pricing for partners.
